FilmyFly Review
Vishal Bhardwaj doing a mafia romance with Shahid Kapoor was always going to be catnip for cinephiles, and O’Romeo delivers the goods: Shakespearean undercurrents, a lived-in criminal underworld, and dialogue that crackles. Shahid is magnetic as Ustara — dangerous and vulnerable in the same scene — while Triptii Dimri holds her own in a role with real agency. Nana Patekar and Avinash Tiwary add menace and texture. It is darker and more literary than the average action film, which is precisely its appeal.
