FilmyFly Review
The KGF-sized expectations were always going to be the story, and Toxic smartly goes a different route: Geetu Mohandas brings an arthouse sensibility to the gangster epic, all atmosphere, period texture, and slow-burn menace. Yash dials back the swagger into something darker, and the female ensemble — Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi — gets genuine narrative weight rather than window dressing. It is moodier and less massy than KGF, which will divide the fanbase, but as a filmmaker’s gangster saga it is one of the boldest big-star bets in recent Indian cinema.
